PREMONT, Texas — Upcoming university 12 months, the Premont ISD will increase two new early childhood applications, thanks to two TEA grants.
The courses will be ‘Baby University’ and the Premont Montessori Academy, and both will be free of charge.
‘Baby University’ will be a daycare and instructional software that will feed into the Pre-K application.
“The infants and toddlers arrive into college at an previously age, so they can make the transition to our Pre-K 3-4 method,” claimed Kristina Gonzalez, the Premont ISD Assistant Superintendent.
Gonzalez said there is only one other daycare choice for mother and father in Premont.
The district has not but resolved how youthful ‘Baby University’ will let enrollment from, but it will offer yet another possibility for mom and dad in Premont.
“This will give them the opportunity to have free childcare, and to get an early start out to training, which is 1 of our main objectives, to have students in schools before,” Gonzalez said.
Byllie Benavides, the early childhood coordinator at Premont ISD, echoed Gonzalez’s sentiment, including that an early begin to education will assist learners as they get more mature.
